Which workshop is the right one for me?
“Creative Handbuilding with Clay” is a handbuilding course without the pottery wheel. You’ll shape bowls, vases, candle holders, or other objects directly with your hands and learn different techniques to bring your own ideas to life in clay.
“Into Workshop: Discover Clay on the Pottery Wheel” is the perfect introduction for anyone who would like to try pottery on the wheel. With fresh clay and messy hands, you’ll learn the basics of throwing in 3 hours and create your first bowls or cups.
“Pottery Wheel Weekend Workshop” takes you from your first ball of clay to your finished favorite piece. In this course, you’ll learn how to throw on the pottery wheel and all the important steps that follow. You’ll refine your pieces, add details, experiment with stamps or colored slips, and bring your own ideas to life. The course includes 2 sessions, with an optional glazing session as an add-on for the complete ceramic-making process.
“Glazing Add-On” gives your ceramics the finishing touch. During this additional session for the Pottery Wheel Weekend Workshop, you’ll glaze your pieces and choose your favorite colors from a variety of available glazes. They will then be fired for you and will be ready to use and enjoy every day.
“Open Studio: Potter's Wheel” is for anyone who has already taken a pottery wheel course with us and would like to continue practicing and developing their skills. You’ll have the freedom to work on your own ideas, repeat shapes, try out new techniques, and receive individual guidance and support along the way.
The Location
The cozy studio is located in Wiesbaden in the Igstadt district. The exact address is St.-Gallus-Str 1, 65207 Wiesbaden.
The bus stop is conveniently located directly in front of the studio: If you are coming from Wiesbaden, take bus line 23 towards Breckenheim and get off at the St.-Gallus-Str. stop.
By train, take the regional train RB21 from Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof to Wiesbaden-Igstadt (Bornstraße) station. From there, it's only about a 5-minute walk to the studio.
If you come by car, you can park for free in the surrounding streets. You can usually also find free spaces in the cemetery parking lot on Medenbacher Straße.
